I'm Victor. I Build Engines That Sell.
Victor Kilonzi on paper. Victor Nimus to almost everyone else. Self-taught designer, teacher by training, 8+ years of making brands people remember and buy from. Founder of Nimus Creatives.

It Started With A Fried Laptop. Not Mine.
Adobe wanted money I didn't have. So I downloaded GIMP, the free editor, onto a friend's laptop and spent night after night teaching myself to cut people out of photos. Somewhere around my hundredth background removal, the motherboard gave up. I didn't. (My friend, if you're reading this: I still owe you.)
Removing backgrounds was fun. Paying rent was more fun. So I went looking for a way to turn the hobby into a living, and that pulled me into graphic design, then branding, then digital marketing.
No degree. Just a long trail of Udemy, LinkedIn Learning and Skillshare receipts, and mentors I've never met in person, like Chris Do and PiXimperfect, teaching me through a screen at 2am.
I'm also a teacher by training, and that part stuck. I don't design on vibes. I research, I structure, and I can tell you why every element is on the page. Turns out a good lesson and a good brand need the same three things: know your audience, make one clear point, check that it landed.
Then I Walked Into Kenyan Real Estate
Design eventually led me to real estate, and I noticed something I couldn't unsee. Most developers and agents were saying the same thing, in the same colours, under the same "luxury living redefined" caption. One company posts a drone shot of a gate, and by Friday five competitors have a drone shot of a different gate.
That isn't marketing. It's photocopying. And when every brand looks the same, buyers stop comparing brands and start comparing prices.
So the teacher in me came back out. I started showing real estate companies how to own a message nobody else can copy, and carry it across every platform they show up on. Then I built the rest around it: website, content, ads and the system that catches every lead, all pointed at the sale. That became Nimus Creatives.
We don't build websites. We build systems for selling. That's the whole idea.
8 Years, One Lesson
Every role I took on taught me another part of how people decide to buy.
-
The start
A Free Editor And A Borrowed Laptop
GIMP, a lot of background removal, and one motherboard casualty. Lesson one: curiosity is free, laptops are not.
-
Self-taught
Courses, Mentors And Late Nights
Design, branding and digital marketing, paid for one course at a time. Chris Do taught me to think like a strategist. PiXimperfect taught me patience with the pen tool.
-
Real clients
Design, Then Everything Around It
Social graphics, brand identities, UI and motion for freelance clients and companies across time zones. Then websites, cameras and ad campaigns, because a great design nobody sees doesn't sell anything.

Finding the gap
Real Estate Branding
An industry where everyone copies everyone. I started teaching brands to stand apart instead, and to build everything around the lead, not the like.

Today
Full Sales Engines And Custom Systems
Now I build the whole thing, including custom systems that run a client's website, team, pipeline and finances in one place. That's Nimus Creatives.
One Strategist, The Whole Engine
Most agencies hand your project between five specialists who never talk. I've done every one of these jobs myself, so nothing gets lost in the handover.
Branding
Positioning, naming and identity systems that make you look like the leader.
Web
Conversion-first websites with custom backends that capture every lead.
Content
Photo and video I plan, direct and shoot, built for ads and social.
Systems
Custom all-in-one platforms for leads, teams, operations and money.
Ads
Meta, TikTok and Google campaigns tuned for quality leads, not clicks.
Strategy
The thinking that ties it together so every shilling pushes toward a sale.
What We Stand On
Four rules. If a project can't meet them, we say so before we start.
Authority
We build brands people look up to and benchmark against. Being liked isn't enough.
Ownership
We treat your business like ours. If something isn't working, we own it and fix it.
Results
Leads and sales are the scoreboard. Likes and compliments are nice. They don't count.
No Mediocrity
No templates, no AI slop, no "good enough". If it has our name on it, it's our best.
What Working With Me Actually Looks Like
No mystery, no runaround. Here is what you can expect from day one.
- You talk to me. Not an account manager reading from notes. I'm on the strategy calls and I know your business.
- You get a written plan. Before we build anything, you see exactly what we'll do, why, and what it costs.
- You get straight answers. If an idea won't work, I'll tell you. Even if it's yours. Especially if it's mine.
- You see progress every week. Short updates, real work, no vanishing for a month.
- You own everything. Your brand files, your website, your data. No hostage situations.
I Don't Work With Everyone. On Purpose.
Saying no to the wrong projects is how the right ones get my best work. Here's how to tell which side you're on.
We'll Get Along If You...
- Care more about sales than likes and followers
- Want to stand apart, not look like the competitor down the road
- Have set aside a real budget. Packages start at KES 120,000
- Can give it 6 months to become the benchmark in your space
- Make the decisions, or can put the person who does in the room
- Want honest advice, even when it isn't what you hoped to hear
We're Not For You If You...
- Are shopping for the cheapest quote in town
- Want a template website up by Friday
- Want to copy whatever your competitor posted last week
- Expect overnight results from one boosted post
- Want a yes-man who builds whatever you say, no questions asked
- Plan to vanish for weeks, then ask why nothing moved
If You're Ready To Be The Benchmark, Let's Talk
Tell me about your business. I'll tell you honestly what I'd build and whether we're the right fit.
